Q:  How many hours does it take to get my private license?
A:  The FAA requires a minimum of 40 hours total time, but the national average is up around 60-65 hours.  Of those 40 minimum hours 20 are solo and 20 with an instructor.

Q:  What am I allowed to do with a Private pilot's license?
A:  A private pilot may fly in weather conditions where the aircraft is not required to enter into clouds.  The proper term is to fly under visual flight rules.  A private pilot is not allowed to accept payment for a flight.  The cost of the flight can be shared with the pilot, but the pilot cannot be compensated.   

Q:  How long does it take?
A:  The best option is to fly at least two times a week, and if done then it should take approximately 6 months.

Q:  How much does it cost?
A:  If a student flies at least twice a week the average cost should be around $5500.00, it depends on how many hours it takes the individual student to become proficient at the required skills.
